The presentation of the Queen of the Sitges Carnival 2026 took place on Saturday, February 7, signaling the start of the main events of the festival in the Garraf region. The ceremony was broadcast live by various local media outlets from the central Town Hall Square (plaça de l’Ajuntament).

This year, the responsibility of organizing and sponsoring the figure of the Queen fell to the popular local group Salsa de Xató, one of the most prominent and established associations in the Sitges Carnival.

This event is part of a week full of activities leading up to the great carnival explosion. Other related news includes the mobilization of over a thousand personnel for the security operation and the opening of the Vilanova i la Geltrú Carnival with the traditional Balls de mantons.
