Sitges Approves New Bus Station and Negotiates Coastal Protection

The Sitges Town Council has finalized the plans for a new bus station at Can Robert and opened negotiations in Madrid regarding the town's coastline management.

The municipal plenary has given the green light to the intercity and tourist bus station project, expected to be completed by 2026. This infrastructure boost is complemented by a 1 million euro investment to upgrade the Municipal Market's climate control system.
The Mayor met with national coastal authorities to request the temporary transfer of seafront facilities. Discussions also focused on urgent repairs needed for the promenade and the Sitges Museums facade following recent storm damage.
On the cultural front, the Terramar Caixabank Festival 2026 has announced new additions to its lineup: Rosario Flores and violinist Ara Malikian, performing their latest shows Universo de Ley and Intruso.
