The Olivella City Council, via the Punt Jove (Youth Center), recently hosted the workshop “Critical Thinking and Values in Adolescence”. This initiative, aimed at young people over 12 years old, gathered 11 participants and focused on the importance of questioning daily information and developing skills to argue opinions and listen to diverse perspectives.
Facilitated by two specialized professionals for an hour and a half, the activity was marked by high participant engagement. Debates arose on personal opinion, mutual respect, individual needs, and coexistence, creating a safe space for expressing ideas and experiences.
“"This activity is part of the initiatives to promote youth well-being and participation promoted by the Olivella City Council and has received support and funding from the Diputació de Barcelona, within the framework of programs supporting youth policies in municipalities."
The organization highly values the proposal, believing these workshops provide useful tools for both young people and professionals working with adolescents. The successful participation confirms the interest of Olivella's youth in having spaces to express themselves, debate, and develop tools to critically interpret reality.
