Tàrrega sculptor Jordi Claramunt and a Catalan team, including Ingrid Tost from el Soleràs, competed in the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Contest in China during January.

Visual artist Jordi Claramunt (1984) participated in the 37th edition of the International Ice Sculpture Contest and the 28th Snow Sculpture Contest in Harbin, China, near Siberia. He worked under extreme conditions, with temperatures dropping to –25 °C, to create large-format ephemeral pieces.

"Working there is like competing in the Champions League. The level is impressive. The experience was brutal, in a space full of immense buildings constructed with ice and snow."

In the ice category, Claramunt and Abel Pruñonosa sculpted a snail, a symbol linked to Lleida culture, featuring punk-style antennae. In the snow category, the team, which also included Ingrid Tost and Lluís Ribalta, created a female figure holding a microphone, inspired by the song Somnis entre boires by the band Sangtraït and Jim's performance on 3Cat's Eufòria in 2023.
Although the team did not win any prizes, Claramunt expressed great satisfaction at being selected, highlighting the difficulty of teamwork and the sheer size of the pieces. The snow block measured 4 meters high, and the ice block, extracted directly from the river, was 2 × 2 meters. The sculptor, with over 20 years of experience, debuted in ice sculpting in Sweden in 2018.
