The former president of the Consell de les Garrigues, Jaume Setó, will testify on January 28, 2026, accused of excluding a restaurant in La Floresta from an olive oil tourism catalog published in 2019.

The trial focuses on the decision made in 2019, when Setó served as president of the regional body and mayor of La Floresta. The campaign aimed to promote olive oil as a tourism driver through the publication of a catalog of oleotourism experiences.

"It was considered that the restaurant in La Floresta had no place in this promotion since it had been closed for a long time."

The manager of the affected restaurant alleged that this exclusion caused her serious harm, including damage to her health, and is therefore claiming compensation of 10,000 euros.
Despite the complaint, the Prosecutor's Office has announced that it will not file charges in the trial, as it believes there is no evidence of a crime in the events, which occurred seven years ago. The public prosecutor requests the acquittal of the former regional council president.
