The l'Albagés reservoir, located in the Garrigues region, has begun to increase its water levels this February by receiving flow from Rialb after a five-year wait.

This historic event occurs five years after the dam's construction was completed. Currently, the infrastructure receives approximately six cubic meters per second, which amounts to half a hectometer daily. The rising water levels have sparked curiosity among local residents.
The goal is to maintain this flow until reaching 40 hectometers, half of the reservoir's total capacity. The final filling stage, up to 82 hectometers, is expected in the coming months or next year, depending on water availability.
This phase was made possible following the signing of the emergency and self-protection plan by various administrations this week. Recent rainfall has also contributed to filling the Set River.
