The L'Espluga Calba Town Council has urged its residents and visitors to reduce shower times and other non-essential water uses, due to low pressure caused by municipal reservoir works and increased population during Easter Week.

The town of L'Espluga Calba is facing a situation of low water supply pressure, especially in the higher areas of the village. This problem is attributed to the confluence of two main factors: the improvement works being carried out at the municipal water reservoir and the significant influx of people to the municipality due to the Easter Week holiday.
Given this situation, the council has issued a series of recommendations to minimize disruptions to the service. Among the highlighted measures, citizens are asked to minimize shower times and avoid concentrating them during peak hours, such as early mornings, to prevent overloading the supply network.

Minimize shower times and do not concentrate them at the same time, such as early morning hours, to prevent high demand from causing supply dysfunctions.

Furthermore, the Town Council has called for responsibility to avoid non-essential water uses, such as washing cars or watering gardens. Buildings with their own reservoirs have also been asked to temporarily disconnect from the network to allow the municipal reservoir to recover its volume.
Municipal officials are constantly monitoring the evolution of the supply and have expressed their apologies for the inconvenience, while appealing for citizen cooperation to overcome this situation.
