A fire broke out this Wednesday at noon at a company in les Preses, forcing the preventive evacuation of over 130 workers after smoke filled the warehouse and office areas.

Emergency services were alerted around 12:00 PM, prompting the dispatch of six Bombers de la Generalitat units. Investigations suggest the fire originated from a solar panel on the roof of a cardboard storage area. While the flames did not spread internally, heavy smoke reached the administrative offices near the C-152 highway.
The emergency response, which included Mossos d'Esquadra and SEM medical teams, managed to extinguish the blaze by 12:30 PM. Firefighters then focused on ventilating the premises to ensure air quality for the returning staff.
Medical staff evaluated five individuals for potential smoke inhalation, but all were declared uninjured. Employees were cleared to return to the facility by 1:00 PM once the roof had cooled down and the site was deemed safe.
