The city of Olot has opened registration for JOTOCO 2026, a music competition seeking young groups and solo artists from La Garrotxa, offering training, live performances, and the opportunity to play at the Festes del Tura.

JOTOCO, Olot's flagship music competition, has launched its 2026 edition with the aim of discovering and promoting emerging talent from the city and its surrounding region. The main reward for the winning project will be the chance to perform on one of the stages at the prestigious Festes del Tura 2026.
Registrations for this initiative are open until April 18. The competition is not limited to just the performance aspect; it includes a comprehensive preparation program with two training sessions designed to strengthen the practical skills of the musicians.
The first session, scheduled for April 26, will cover crucial topics such as music management, contracting, record labels, and technical industry aspects. The second, taking place on May 17, will focus on stage presence and repertoire preparation for live performances.
The competitive phase will begin on May 30 with the semifinal, held at Torín. The grand final will be disputed a few days later, on June 5, at Firal d'Olot. This intensive calendar concentrates the decisive stages of the competition in central locations within the Garrotxa capital.
The winning group or solo artist will not only secure a prominent spot in the Festes del Tura program but will also receive professional recording and editing of their live concert. This prize represents a valuable launching platform and an essential resource for the future projection of their musical career.
