The Rural Agents Corps concluded 2025 with 43,477 surveillance actions across 22 protected natural spaces in Catalonia, marking a 109% increase compared to the previous year.

The reinforcement plan focused on high-traffic periods such as holidays and weekends. Areas like Garrotxa, Aigüestortes, and Cap de Creus saw increased monitoring through drones and specialized patrols to balance tourism with environmental protection.
A total of 2,275 reports were filed for illegal activities, primarily involving unauthorized motorized circulation and fire safety violations. The corps currently has 675 officers, with plans to reach 1,300 by 2030.
