The Sant Joan les Fonts Town Council has urged the Catalan Minister of Business and Labour, Miquel Sàmper, to prioritize two new roundabouts and the renovation of the Begudà industrial park.

Local officials highlighted two key traffic projects: a roundabout providing access to the town center near the Club Poliesportiu Santjoanenc and another for the Begudà area. Both are seen as essential for local mobility and safety.
Regarding the economy, the local government noted that while unemployment is lower than the Girona average, there is a need for higher quality jobs and better training. They requested Generalitat support to modernize the aging industrial estate's streets and infrastructure.
The council also proposed a new path for bicycles and electric scooters parallel to the main road to ensure safer commutes for industrial workers.
