Starting Monday, October 12, artists will begin working in the streets, allowing the public to closely follow the creative process of the murals. This proximity aims to showcase artistic processes and observe how the works take shape on the street.
The weekend of October 16 and 17 will concentrate most of the activities. In addition to the urban art festival, the municipality will host Tasta Cassà, the 1st Exhibition of Fork Breakfasts, the 4th edition of Oktoberfest, and the Animusic Festival, creating a complete leisure offering for all audiences.
According to Àlex Font, Councilor for Economic Promotion, the festival aims to beautify the town, attract visitors, and reflect the local artistic tradition, offering a new perspective for discovering Cassà.
Zim Zam Cassà is born with a commitment to continuity, intending to generate permanent artistic heritage and lay the groundwork for a project that will grow in future editions, consolidating an art route visitable year-round.
On Friday, October 16, the day will combine art and gastronomy with Tasta Cassà, accompanied by DJ Robert de Palma and the inauguration of an exhibition at Can Trinxeria by artists Núria Vall and Cris Martínez Clapera.
Saturday, October 17, will be dedicated to family and participatory activities, including the first Fork Breakfast Exhibition, vermouth music on the bonÀrea stage with DJ Miqui Puig, and art workshops.
Family workshops will offer experiences in screen printing, drawing, and color. With artist Olga Cortadelles, participants can personalize tote bags or t-shirts. They can also create a poster with illustrations by Pilarín Bayés and participate in an urban art workshop led by Heal Hop.
The project, driven by the City Council of Cassà de la Selva and produced by Jordi Solsona and Mª del Mar López-Pinto of Binomic.cat, with the support of the Girona Provincial Council, seeks to strengthen the relationship between artistic creation and the daily life of the municipality.
