The project, with a budget of approximately 1.8 million euros, aims to ensure a stable and safe connection between both riverbanks. This new path, 135 meters long and 1.80 meters wide, will end the reliance on temporary solutions that had been damaged by various storms over the years.
The infrastructure will be elevated 6.70 meters above the riverbed to minimize the risk of damage from future floods. The design includes access ramps adapted to current accessibility regulations, facilitating transit for both pedestrians and cyclists using the routes of the Ter valley and the Llémena valley.
Funding for the project comes from a combination of Next Generation funds, a contribution from the Diputació de Girona, and contributions from the involved municipalities. The work is being carried out by the public company Tragsa, which is working to meet the deadlines established for the European grant.
