The use of CaixaBank's mobile banking has increased by 18% during the first half of 2026 in the Girona region, while its 'mobile branches' now serve 120 municipalities.

The use of CaixaBank's Mobile Banking service has seen an 18% increase during the first half of 2026, compared to the previous six months of 2025. This data was provided by the financial institution itself. In parallel, the entity's 'ofibuses' (mobile banking units) currently provide coverage to 120 municipalities within the Girona region, reaching a population of 54,075 inhabitants.
This mobile service allows for essential banking operations such as cash withdrawal or deposit, balance inquiries, bill payments, and money transfers. The deployment of this initiative began between 2024 and 2025 with the aim of serving locations that do not have a permanent physical bank branch.
Complementing the network of mobile branches, CaixaBank maintains a physical presence in the Girona region with 109 service points and 347 ATMs. According to the figures provided by the entity, this infrastructure serves over 537,000 clients and employs 670 workers.
CaixaBank highlights its position as the sole financial entity with a branch presence in 57 municipalities in the Girona province. In these locations, nearly 100 employees offer banking services, constituting the only available in-person alternative for residents.
CaixaBank's network in Girona also includes five centers specializing in serving businesses and SMEs, a DayOne center focused on startups, two Wealth Management centers, and a center dedicated to Institutions.
At the level of CaixaBank's Territorial Directorate in Catalonia, the Mobile Banking service extends to 454 municipalities through nine 'ofibuses'. This service has 19 employees and, according to the entity's data, covers the needs of 283,630 clients.
