Citizens of Sarrià de Ter, aged 16 and over and registered residents, have until October 31st to choose which of the three finalist proposals will become the new River Promenade. The most voted project will be the one executed.
The alternatives are the result of joint work between the Town Council and the Neighborhood Association of Sarrià de Baix, with resident collaboration. Regardless of the chosen option, the new promenade will include general improvements such as new lighting, terrain adaptation, a specific parking area, a closed dog zone, a health and calisthenics park, and a sports and children's area with goals, baskets, and games.
The main differences between the proposals lie in the central distribution and additional uses. The options to vote for are: The Sports and Health Promenade, prioritizing physical activity with ample calisthenics and health spaces; The Leisure and Culture Promenade, incorporating a beach bar with a terrace and a small stage; and The Natural and Family Promenade, focused on children with an approved playhouse integrated into a green environment.
To learn the details, a presentation will be held at Rafel Masó (entrance via c/ Major) on October 5th, at 7 PM. For those who need assistance voting, there will be in-person options at the Town Hall (Mondays to Fridays, 9 AM to 2 PM), at the Emília Xargay Library (during regular opening hours), and at the Municipal Market on October 8th, 15th, and 22nd (from 10 AM to 12 PM).
