The Catalan Government has pledged 213 million euros for the Girona region in 2026, marking a significant increase of more than one-third compared to previous financial accounts.

Infrastructure and healthcare will receive approximately 110 million euros. Key projects include the Olot bypass, allocated 6 million euros, and improvements to the road between Sant Julià de Ramis and Verges. A new bridge over the Ter River is also planned to enhance local connectivity.
In the health sector, Girona's Josep Trueta Hospital is set to receive 14 million euros for surgical and oncological upgrades. Additionally, a new primary care center will be built in Santa Coloma de Farners, alongside facility improvements in Palafrugell and Cassà de la Selva.
The budget also highlights an experimental offshore wind energy laboratory in the Gulf of Roses and investments in public housing within Girona and Salt, aiming to address social and environmental challenges.
