Handbol Garbí has achieved promotion to Primera Nacional, celebrating the milestone with its fans in Palafrugell despite a narrow 33-34 loss in the final promotion phase match against Donibane Aukera.

The Palafrugell team, coached by Sergi Catarain, played its last match of the promotion phase already knowing their place in the higher league was secured. The game, held in a packed pavilion, was closely contested until the end, with only a one-goal difference, similar to the other two matches in the phase where Garbí also won by a single goal (30-29 against Dominicos de Zaragoza and 30-29 against Villa de Aranda).
At halftime, Garbí led the score 17-13. However, the Basque team, Donibane Aukera, came out with renewed energy in the second half, mounting a comeback to take the lead (18-19) within five minutes. From then on, neither team managed to pull away significantly, but the visitors' final victory did not dampen the celebrations for Garbí's promotion.
Promotion to Primera Nacional marks a significant achievement for the club, which now prepares to face new challenges in the top tier. The town of Palafrugell is gearing up to celebrate the success with a parade starting from the pavilion and concluding at the Town Hall.
