The Servei Públic d’Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC) has renewed agreements worth nearly €700,000 aimed at improving job placement through Catalan language training and business internships.

The Servei Públic d’Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC) has formalized the renewal of two key agreements with the Consell General de Cambres (General Council of Chambers) and the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (CPNL - Consortium for the Linguistic Normalization) to boost job placement. The total investment amounts to approximately €700,000.
With the Consell General de Cambres, €283,000 are allocated to manage professional internships linked to training courses, thereby reinforcing the dual teaching model. This collaboration aims to streamline internship processes, monitor student activity, and foster greater business involvement in training programs. The agreement will be valid for one year and will cover various SOC programs, including 'Formació d’oferta en àrees prioritàries' (FOAP - Training offered in priority areas) and the 'Forma i insereix' (Train and Insert) program.
In parallel, the Aprèn.cat program has been renewed with a budget of half a million euros to improve Catalan language proficiency. This initiative will organize 63 courses, expecting the participation of nearly a thousand individuals. The goal is to promote the use of the Catalan language and facilitate access to the labor market.
Of the 63 courses, 48 will be in-person, focusing on initial levels (A2 and B1), while the remaining 15 will be delivered online to achieve levels B2 and C1. All training programs will have a duration of 120 hours, and participants will receive accredited certificates from CPNL.
