Girona Airport sees 8.2% drop in passenger numbers in January

The terminal closed the first month of the year with 35,462 users and a slight decrease in flight operations.

Girona-Costa Brava Airport closed January 2026 with a total of 35,462 passengers, a figure that represents a decrease in activity compared to the previous year.

According to data released by Aena, this passenger volume represents an 8.2% drop compared to the same period last year. This downward trend was also reflected in the total number of aircraft movements.
Regarding flight operations, 1,292 take-offs and landings were recorded during the first month of the year. This represents a 3.9% decrease compared to January 2025, marking a slower start to the year for the airport.
