Girona Airport traffic rises by 5.6% in February with over 41,000 passengers

The terminal sees a recovery in passenger numbers driven by Ryanair and the Brussels route.

Girona-Costa Brava Airport welcomed 41,011 passengers during February, marking a 5.6% increase compared to the same month in 2025, according to Aena.

This growth marks a turnaround from January, which saw an 8.2% decline. Total passenger numbers for the first two months of the year stand at 76,473, just 1.3% lower than the previous year's figures for the same period.
Ryanair continues to be the primary carrier at the Vilobí d'Onyar terminal, transporting 39,920 people. The most popular route was Brussels Charleroi, which saw a 19.7% increase in travelers, followed by Pisa and the newly introduced Bucharest service.
In terms of nationality, Belgian travelers led the rankings with nearly 7,800 passengers. While the German market saw a 21.3% drop, the British market experienced significant growth, rising by 27.3% compared to last year.
