Girona campsites break records with 10 million overnight stays in 2025

The Girona Campsite Association reached a historic milestone in 2025 with 9.7 million overnight stays, marking a 5% increase and reinforcing its commitment to long-term sustainable tourism.

Data from the National Statistics Institute confirms that campsites in the Girona region recorded nearly 10 million overnight stays during 2025. This represents a 5% increase compared to the previous year and a 40% growth over the last decade.
The average stay reached 6 days, the highest among all types of accommodation. For international tourists, the average rose to 7 days, a trend that the sector believes promotes sustainability and increases local economic impact.

The association's digital strategy also saw success, with 250,000 unique users on its official website. Major traffic came from Germany, the Netherlands, and France, with 78% of searches performed on mobile devices.
