The camping industry in the Girona region reached a historic milestone in 2025, surpassing 10 million overnight stays for the first time after a decade of steady growth.

This achievement reflects the sector's efforts to enhance user experience and promote tourism outside the peak summer months. Currently, 50% of all stays are generated by international visitors, highlighting the global appeal of Girona's outdoor hospitality.

"We are moving in the right direction towards seasonal adjustment, which was a priority."

Data shows that European tourists stay for an average of 7.3 days, compared to 4.5 days for domestic travelers. This longer duration helps reduce the carbon footprint, aligning with the sector's long-standing commitment to environmental certifications since the early 2000s.

"We are the leaders in sustainability."
