The project, called Pla de Millora Urbana Destil·leries I, includes the construction of 174 social housing units, representing nearly 30% of the total projected homes. The development area covers more than 28,500 square meters bounded by Ramon Llull, Gran Canària, Sant Joan Bosco, and Portlligat streets.
The proposal includes the creation of a new 2,000-square-meter community facility and the reservation of 7,400 square meters for public open spaces. Planned improvements include the creation of a central square, sidewalk widening, and the conversion of a section of Formentera street into a pedestrian route.
The sector's development will be carried out gradually to allow for the progressive relocation of existing industrial activities. Following the incorporation of neighborhood demands, the maximum height of the new buildings has been reduced, limiting them to a ground floor plus five stories and a set-back penthouse.
