Data from Pisos.com shows that the price per square meter in the Girona region has jumped from 7.70 euros to 11.43 euros in five years. This means a 90-square-meter flat that cost 700 euros in 2021 now demands 1,020 euros, representing a 4,000-euro annual increase for tenants.

The price gap between Girona city and the rest of the province has effectively vanished. Experts point to low supply and the rise of tourist rentals as key drivers of this crisis.
