Locals explain that nighttime gatherings extend for hours, involving parked cars, loud music, and alcohol consumption. The issue, concentrated around the park and its adjacent parking lot, has been ongoing for years, particularly as warmer weather arrives. On some nights, forty to fifty people can gather, with sound systems causing disturbances until the early morning hours.
Residents state they frequently alert the Municipal Police but feel interventions are insufficient. "As soon as the patrol car leaves, they turn the music back on," they lament, noting the disturbances repeat weekly. They report that patrols do respond, but music often only stops briefly, and police vehicles do not always enter the park when crowded.
Beyond noise, litter is a major complaint. The area around the park and parking lot is left strewn with debris the day after, requiring cleaning crews to remove accumulated waste. "They leave everything dirty, and the next day the cleaning staff have to sort it all out," residents say.
Residents distinguish this problem from authorized concerts held in the park about once a month. While these events also cause noise, they have municipal licenses. The primary distress stems from the unauthorized weekend gatherings. They are calling for increased police presence and a definitive solution, feeling the issue is not being resolved.
