Coproprietors Jordi Roca and Alejandra Rivas celebrated the reopening of the Rocambolesc ice cream shop in Girona this Thursday, following a complete renovation of the Santa Clara street location.

Marking its tenth anniversary, the brand has shifted from its original 'childish look' toward a more elegant and sophisticated aesthetic. Designed by Andreu Carulla, the new space incorporates Girona stone and solid wood, aiming for a timeless feel rather than a temporary retail display.

"The idea is always about play and having fun. For us, an ice cream is a small pleasure."

A standout feature on the facade is a stone relief of Jordi Roca's nose, intended to be a local landmark for visitors. Along with the visual changes, the shop is reintroducing the classic ice cream sandwich (gelat de tall) to its menu, a move that will eventually be implemented across all their locations.
