The city of Girona hosts today the ninth edition of the Birra a Mà fair, an event gathering fifteen craft beer producers at Devesa to promote beer culture.

The event, which runs until midnight, has become a benchmark in the province of Girona. According to the organizing entity, the main goal goes beyond simple commercial promotion: it seeks to educate the public about the wide variety of existing styles and the qualitative evolution the sector has experienced in recent years thanks to access to information.
Attendees can find everything from sour fruit beers to more classic varieties such as lagers or IPAs. The producers present highlight that the visitor profile is diverse, including both people who are new to this world and enthusiasts looking for barrel-aged products or more complex brews.

"Producers are very much about teaching, letting people try, letting them experiment and see that there isn't just one style of beer. There are many tastes and everyone can find one they like."

The fair also serves as a meeting point for brewmasters, facilitating the exchange of experiences between professionals with established careers and more recent projects. This dynamic contributes to raising the level of the sector in the Gironès region, where more and more consumers value the specificity of each beer according to the time of day.
