The Llagostera City Council has launched the citizen voting phase for the 2026 participatory budgets, with ten finalist proposals vying for community support to be implemented.

The process, open to all Llagostera residents over 16 years old, will allow participants to choose up to three of the submitted initiatives. Voting can be done online through the Decidim portal, with validation via DNI or NIE, and will conclude on April 30 at 3 PM.
Among the proposals that have passed the technical and economic feasibility phase are the transformation of the Lacustària school playground into a community-accessible space, the comprehensive renovation of the municipal pavilion's changing rooms, and the installation of new raised pedestrian crossings to enhance safety. Also included are improvements to the sidewalks on Àlvarez de Castro street and the renewal of the scoreboard and shooting boards at the sports pavilion.
Other finalist initiatives include the creation of a library of things, improvements to the sports area of Llagostera Residencial, the upgrade of technical equipment for Llagostera Ràdio and the Casino Llagosterenc, and the installation of a public webcam on the bell tower. The City Council plans to announce the winning proposal by the end of May and, if the 50,000 euro budget allows, also implement the next most voted proposals. The project is supported by the Diputació de Girona.
