Bàsquet Girona confirmed that Maxi Fjellerup will undergo an arthroscopy to address persistent ankle issues. The player has struggled with physical problems since the summer, including a previous groin injury that delayed his season debut.

Head coach Moncho Fernández has only been able to field the player in three games this season. Despite attempts to manage the injury through conservative therapy, the pain returned during recent matchups against Lleida and Barça.

While the club has not released a specific recovery timeline, the surgical procedure makes it highly unlikely for the Argentine international to return to action before the season concludes in May.
