Bàsquet Girona head coach Moncho Fernández expressed his concern regarding Maxi Fjellerup's physical state following the team's defeat against Unicaja at Fontajau this March.

The Argentine guard has faced a challenging season, appearing in only three games due to persistent ankle problems. Fernández revealed that the player was unable to train during the week, leading to his absence in the latest Liga Endesa fixture.

"Physically he is not well. He couldn't play because he couldn't train, and I guess mentally he is down because he has worked very hard and the situation is not improving."

Medical evaluations scheduled for this week will determine the severity of the injury. The coach admitted that the club might look for a replacement if Fjellerup remains sidelined for an extended period.
