The basilica of Santa Maria de Castelló d'Empúries hosted the meeting, which this year focused the discussion on the work Les closes, by Maria Àngels Anglada, a prominent figure in contemporary Catalan literature. Castelló d'Empúries debuts as a host for the project in the Alt Empordà region.
The event began with a welcome from Roser Julià, director of the Ramon Bordes i Estragués library. Speakers included Míriam Lanero, deputy of the Diputació de Girona, and Anna Massot, mayor of Castelló d'Empúries. Also attending were Rosa and Mariona Geli Anglada, daughters of the author.
To delve deeper into the novel and the figure of Maria Àngels Anglada, specialists Eusebi Ayensa, Hellenist, writer, and researcher, and Anna Perera, a scholar of her work, participated. Their contributions highlighted the literary, human, and cultural richness of the author, who was closely linked to the Empordà region.
The closing remarks were made by the Empordà singer-songwriter Josep Tero, who had a close personal and artistic relationship with the writer and has helped spread her legacy through music.
The «Un llibre, un destí» project began in 2019 in Caldes de Malavella with El fill de l'italià by Rafel Nadal. Since then, it has passed through Camprodon, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Olot, and Girona, bringing together hundreds of readers. In 2022 in Camprodon, El dia de l'ós by Joan-Lluís Lluís and Canto jo i la muntanya balla by Irene Solà were discussed. In 2023, Sant Feliu de Guíxols hosted the debate on Una família by Toni Sala. Last year, Olot hosted discussions on La punyalada by Marià Vayreda, led by professor Mita Casacuberta. In 2025, Girona focused on Vinc de molt lluny by Isabel Oliva Prat.
