The Bar del Teatre in Salt has launched Sopa de lletres, a cultural initiative running throughout March that pairs literary discussions by award-winning authors with bespoke menus created by guest chefs.

The series began with Estel Solé, winner of the 2025 Ramon Llull prize for her novel Aquest tros de vida. In a conversation with publisher Laia Regincós, Solé explained her creative process and her desire for readers to find their own meaning within the story.

"What the book is about is something we all decide. Everyone will draw different conclusions based on their own circumstances."

Chef Lluc Quintana from Can Xapes, a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, translated the literary themes into a seasonal menu featuring artichokes, cod, and a modern lemon dessert. Quintana emphasized his philosophy of refining traditional flavors through contemporary techniques.
The program continues every Thursday in March with authors Montse Albets, Pep Prieto, and Miquel Berga, featuring culinary collaborations with chefs Isaac Jover, Vivancos, and Jordi Parés.
