The La Liga match between Sevilla FC and Girona FC, scheduled for today at 6:30 PM at the Sánchez Pizjuán stadium, is at risk of cancellation due to an orange weather alert in Seville.

The Andalusian club requested the suspension of the match to ensure the safety of fans traveling to the stadium, particularly those coming from outside the city of Seville.
Initially, LaLiga declined to postpone the game, citing that the warning was orange, not red, and deferred the decision to the Government Subdelegation. This body subsequently passed the final responsibility to the Junta de Andalucía (Regional Government of Andalusia), which is expected to make a ruling shortly.
There is a precedent this season: the Atlético de Madrid vs. Sevilla match in September was postponed due to similar circumstances, following a decision by the Government Subdelegation of Madrid.
Girona FC is currently awaiting the decision. Should the match be postponed, a new date could be set for as early as tomorrow, as the weather alert is expected to end overnight, or later on a weekday, considering neither team is involved in other competitions.
