The environmental unit of the Catalan police intervened on July 31st in a former irrigation pond of 415 square meters, after receiving alerts about suspicious movements on the property. Officers discovered a clandestine operation where trucks transported debris, plastics, and iron scraps from demolitions from Sant Gregori to Bescanó, without the mandatory documentation proving their origin and destination.
During the inspection, six trucks with approximately 64 tons of construction waste were counted, already covered with earth to avoid suspicion. The investigation confirmed that the property owner lacked the necessary technical project and municipal license to carry out these filling tasks.
The Mossos d'Esquadra recalled that the property had previously been inspected, revealing clandestine mechanical workshops and serious deficiencies in waste treatment. Following a verification on August 11th to confirm the removal of the material, proceedings for environmental infringement are ongoing.
