Thousands of individuals have gathered in Girona's Devesa to participate in the casting call for the film Tangled, the live-action adaptation of Rapunzel that Disney will be shooting in the city.

The turnout has significantly exceeded the expectations of the company managing the selection process, which aimed to hire between 1,500 and 2,000 extras for the production. The first hopefuls arrived at the gates of Fira de Girona the previous day, at eleven in the morning, and spent the night outdoors to secure their spot.
Throughout the early morning hours, the number of people in line steadily grew, surpassing one hundred before six in the morning. Filming for the movie is scheduled to commence in mid-July.
