Junts per Girona has expressed concern over the situation of Cinema Truffaut in Girona and has held ERC responsible for the generated uncertainty, advocating for the continuation of the current management model.

The municipal group Junts per Girona has publicly voiced its concern regarding the future of Cinema Truffaut, an emblematic cultural venue in the city. The political party has directly pointed to ERC as responsible for the current situation, which has created uncertainty about the management of the cinema.
In a statement, Junts has advocated for “trying to guarantee the current model,” which has allowed the Col·lectiu de Crítics to manage the venue for the past 25 years. According to the party, this management has been crucial for “consolidating a unique and quality proposal” in the city of Girona.

The configuration of contracts and any modification in the provision of a service always corresponds to the responsible area.

The statement from Junts, which is part of the governing team along with Guanyem and the republicans, emphasizes that the responsibility for contract configuration and service provision modifications lies with the competent department. In this case, they specify that this responsibility falls to the Culture department, led by Deputy Mayor Quim Ayats, a member of ERC.
Although both the Girona City Council and the Col·lectiu de Crítics have opted for discretion and have not publicly commented on the Truffaut tender, which has not yet been formally awarded, the controversy has already caused internal tensions within the municipal government team.
