Six Law graduates trained at the University of Girona (UdG) were selected by the Centre for Legal Studies and Specialized Training (CEJFE) to receive a scholarship of 1,184 euros monthly for four years to prepare for judge, prosecutor, or justice administration lawyer exams.

The six beneficiaries from Girona, who represent 12% of the total 48 scholarship recipients in Catalonia, come from municipalities such as Palafrugell, Celrà, Lloret de Mar, Anglès, Caldes de Malavella, and Vilablareix. This aid, managed by the Department of Justice, aims to alleviate the economic burden of long and demanding competitive examinations.

"The scholarships allow candidates to face the competitive exams without depending on their own resources, thus preventing talent loss due to economic reasons."

The scholarship program, which resulted in 48 grants awarded out of the 50 planned slots, represents a global investment of 2.84 million euros. Beneficiaries will receive 1,184 euros monthly during the period between 2026 and 2029. In total, 118 applications were submitted for the judiciary, prosecution, and justice administration lawyer tracks.
Data from the CEJFE shows a shift in the profile of the scholarship recipients: 77% are women (37 women and 11 men), with an average age of 25.5 years. These selected candidates have high academic records, with an average degree grade of 7.8, and nearly half have completed internships in judicial offices.
