Artisans from the Lluçanès region gathered in Vic this March 2026 for the inaugural La Mocadera fair, an event dedicated to preserving the legacy of traditional Catalan charcuterie.

The fair highlighted the role of the Mocadera, the women who historically managed the cleaning and stuffing of sausages during the pig slaughter. Honorees included Angelina Casanovas Juncà and Maria Rosa Guix Bigas, both from the Lluçanès area.
The event also featured educational workshops, such as a sausage-making masterclass by Soler de N'Hug and professional tastings led by experts like Eduard Aliberch from Mas Monells.
