Catalan driver Gil Membrado, only 18 years old, has confirmed his leap to the World Rally Championship (WRC), debuting with a Ford Fiesta Rally3 in seven international events during the 2026 season.

The young man from Olost, who made history in 2025 by becoming the youngest absolute champion of Spain, will begin his global career with an intense calendar. This includes the five scoring rounds of the Junior WRC and two additional events in the WRC3 category.
Membrado will drive a vehicle prepared by M-Sport, the official Ford team in the WRC. Furthermore, the Catalan driver will debut a new co-driver in this international adventure, guided by Adrián Pérez. The events will see him compete on snow, gravel, and asphalt in countries such as Sweden, Croatia, Portugal, Finland, and Chile.

"I will do everything possible to make the most of such a great opportunity as this."
