The event, attended by classmates and families of the new councillors, was presided over by the Mayor, Jordi Bruch, and the Councillor for Education, Rosa Vilà. They welcomed the children and presented them with their accreditation diplomas. Prior to the ceremony, the councillors had already held their first working session of the year.
The Children's Council is a participatory body designed for children in 5th and 6th grade from Escola Lluçanès and FEDAC Prats to express their opinions, ideas, and propose improvements for the municipality. Through this platform, children can convey their concerns to the City Council and actively participate in decisions that contribute to improving the town.
Throughout the year, the Council will meet monthly to debate and work on proposals related to areas affecting the daily lives of children and the municipality.
The Prats de Lluçanès City Council thanks the new councillors for their involvement and wishes them a successful academic year, hoping that this experience will foster child participation and contribute to building a better municipality for everyone.
