The Town Council of Arenys de Mar has participated in La Ràpita in the reception prior to the "Orígens" festival, where the creation of a promenade dedicated to Arenys de Mar for next year has been confirmed.

The mayor of Arenys de Mar, Estanis Fors, and the Councilor for General Services, Cristina López, have visited La Ràpita to participate in the official reception of the 10th edition of the "Orígens" festival. They were received by the mayor of La Ràpita, Xavier Reverté, and other councilors of the Rapitenc council.
During the meeting, Arenys de Mar's participation in the festival was discussed, and the upcoming inauguration of the Arenys de Mar Promenade was announced. It will be located near the port of La Ràpita and is expected to be ready next year. The twinning between the two towns was formalized in October 2022.
The "Orígens" festival in La Ràpita is a historical reenactment held in the Xicago neighborhood, reviving traditions and trades from the early 20th century. This year's celebration, starting on Friday, October 9th, includes performances, the Fanalet dance, and a maritime procession. The program continues on Saturday with the "pesca al rossegall" (dragnet fishing) at Pipi beach, followed by the sale and cleaning demonstration of the fish at the Museu de la Mar de l'Ebre, and the suquet (fish stew) competition. On Sunday, the festival will conclude with the Jota Vella challenge and a concert by Quico el Célio, el Noi i el Mut de Ferreries.
