The campaign, which includes dual vaccination, starts in the ABS of Calella, Malgrat-Palafolls, and Lloret-Tossa. The primary objective is to prevent complications arising from both infections, particularly in vulnerable individuals.
The first phase, beginning October 5th, is for residents of nursing homes and disability centers, individuals receiving home care, those aged 80 and over, children aged 6 to 59 months, pregnant women or those who have recently given birth, and healthcare and social care personnel.
The second phase will commence on October 26th, expanding vaccination to individuals aged 60 and over and other at-risk groups such as teachers and essential service workers. From November 16th onwards, vaccination will be available without prior appointment.
Vaccination points vary by location: in Calella, Malgrat, and Tossa, it takes place at the primary care center. In Palafolls, the annex room to the local clinic is used, while in Lloret, vaccination is concentrated at the CAP Agustí Cabañas.
To book an appointment, for one or both vaccines, individuals can visit their primary care center in person, call by phone, use the La Meva Salut app, or access the website citasalut.gencat.cat.
