The Diputació de Barcelona recently visited the first phase works of the Sant Andreu stream restoration project in Llavaneres, a key axis for the municipal green infrastructure.

The president of Natural Spaces and Green Infrastructure of the Diputació, Xesco Gomar, visited the works accompanied by the mayor, Àlex Neira, and the Councilor for Environment, Àngels Solà. This initiative, which began in April, has a subsidy of 300,000 euros from the Diputació de Barcelona.
The main objective of the project is to recover the environmental values of the stream and enhance its function as an ecological corridor between the urban area of Llavaneres and the Montnegre i el Corredor Natural Park. The intervention will promote biodiversity, improve the ecological functionality of the space, and strengthen the connection between natural and urban environments.
During the visit, the representatives learned about the execution status of the works and the objectives of this first phase. The meeting also served to address the global vision of the project and the need to continue it in future phases, aiming to progressively consolidate this ecological corridor and expand the environmental recovery of its surroundings.
