Eight people were injured, one of them a minor in critical condition, in a traffic accident that occurred this Saturday afternoon in Mataró, where five cars and a motorcycle collided.

A serious traffic accident left eight people injured, including a minor in critical condition and another seriously hurt, this Saturday afternoon in the city of Mataró. The incident involved five cars and a motorcycle.
In addition to the two minors severely injured, five adults sustained minor injuries, and another adult was less seriously hurt. The event took place around six in the evening on Via Sèrgia, a key road connecting the C-32 with the urban center of the capital of Maresme.
Six units from the Generalitat Firefighters responded to the incident, carrying out extrication operations to free two minors who were trapped in one of the involved vehicles.
The Emergency Medical System (SEM) deployed 13 units to attend to the injured, including a medicalized helicopter and a joint SEM-Bombers team.
