This year's cultural offering includes new features such as a talk on housing models for young people and a guided tour exploring the late 19th and early 20th-century architecture of Malgrat de Mar, led by Laura Freixas, author of a recent local research grant.
The festival will kick off on June 9th with a badge-making workshop at the Espai Jove, followed the next day by the creation of a participatory mural. On Friday the 12th, activities will continue with circus workshops by the company Polartikus at Peixateries Velles and a tie-dye t-shirt workshop organized by the Servei de Rehabilitació Comunitària del Maresme Nord.
Friday's program will also include family-friendly circus activities and a discussion on housing models for young people, inspired by the approach in Caldes de Montbui, featuring architect David Juárez and councilor Jordi Martín.
On Saturday, June 13th, the festival will host an urban sketching gathering organized by the Cercle Artístic de Malgrat de Mar, alongside the architectural heritage guided tour with Laura Freixas.
Music will play a significant role with concerts by groups from the Institut Ramon Turró i Dardera and performances from the Joves&Clàssica Young Vibes project, promoted by the Aula de Música Contrapunt, which will take place at various locations across the municipality.
The Libèl·lula Festival will conclude with the Gran Concert Joves&Clàssica at the Centre Cultural, featuring young musicians and ensembles associated with the Aula de Música Contrapunt and the Coral de la Universitat de Girona.
