The celebration will span ten days and will feature a special security reinforcement during events such as the correfocs (fire runs), the giants' parade, the cycling race, the Miner de Ferro Race, the vintage motorcycle gathering, the fireworks display, Malgrat de Bar, and the Barrakes (music stages), all of which attract large crowds and cause significant mobility disruptions.
The Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan Police) will also support the operation, particularly during the two nights dedicated to the Barrakes, to ensure attendees' safety.
As a notable new feature, the Local Police will utilize drones for aerial surveillance of high-attendance areas. These devices will allow for expanded visual coverage, more efficient monitoring of large areas, and improved response capabilities in case of any incidents.
The City Council has emphasized that the primary objective of this coordinated operation is to ensure a rapid and effective response to any situation, thereby contributing to the Major Festival proceeding with normalcy and the utmost security guarantees for all citizens.
