The Costa del Maresme Tourist Promotion Consortium and the textile business entity ASEGEMA have joined forces to launch Fil & Fit, a new fair aiming to consolidate the region as a central hub for the textile sector in Catalonia and Europe.

This initiative's primary goal is to create a dynamic space for knowledge exchange, business opportunity generation, and the establishment of strategic alliances among companies, professionals, and training centers. The proposal also seeks to enhance the competitiveness of Catalan industrial textiles and project them internationally.
The fair will take place at Can Marfà, a former factory complex in Mataró that has been converted into a museum. This emblematic space symbolizes the rich industrial tradition of the territory and will serve as a bridge between the past and future of the textile sector.
The agreement between the two promoting entities also aims to link the textile sector with tourism, two areas with strong roots in Maresme. In this regard, Fil & Fit is presented as an opportunity to boost professional and event tourism, especially within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment.
