The project is currently in its initial phase with a 108,900 euro budget for technical planning and management. The main goals are to ensure functional recovery, aesthetic improvement, and strict compliance with health regulations, including legionella prevention and electrical safety.
Key locations such as Parc Central, featuring the Romantic and Marble fountains, are included in the plan. While some fountains are already operational, others like those in Cerdanyola and Lluís Millet square will remain closed until the technical interventions are completed.
The future of the large fountain in the New Central Park remains undecided. Local authorities are evaluating whether to restart the 25-year-old installation or completely redesign the space to better suit modern urban needs.
