The municipal brigade of Pineda de Mar is maintaining its indefinite strike, which began on August 5th, and will intensify protests during the upcoming local festival, with new demonstrations planned for Tuesday the 25th and Wednesday the 26th of August.

The labor dispute, which according to CCOO has 100% employee participation, impacts essential services such as waste collection, gardening, and the setup of structures for festive events. Mediation between the council and the workers has not yet yielded any significant progress.
The workers' primary demands focus on the fulfillment of previously agreed-upon terms regarding productivity, holidays, job evaluations, and on-call services. The CCOO union accuses the City Council of maintaining a "closed" stance and calls for genuine negotiations to resolve the conflict.
Concurrently, CCOO has filed a complaint with the Labor Inspectorate against the City Council for hiring external companies to cover services during the strike. The union believes this action aims to mitigate the impact of the stoppages and infringes upon workers' rights.
