Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested two managers of the private kindergarten El Patufet in Vilassar de Mar for alleged crimes of degrading treatment and abuse.

The investigation began last Friday following an initial complaint, according to police sources. Sources close to the case suggest the complaint may have been filed by a former employee of the center.
The two arrested individuals have been released with charges by the relevant court. The investigation is ongoing, and the Mossos have already reported a third employee for alleged involvement in the incidents.

Our priority is the care of the children and the affected families.

The Vilassar de Mar City Council has confirmed the arrests, stating that its utmost priority is to ensure the well-being of the children and support the families. The council, along with the Maresme-Vallès Oriental Territorial Services of the Department of Education, has implemented measures to guarantee the educational continuity of the children enrolled at the center.
Furthermore, the City Council has offered families the option to enroll their children in the municipal kindergarten La Bressoleta while each case is individually assessed.
